Alexis Vincent Gomès is a lawyer and President of the GOMES Foundation who served as an International Director from 2013 to 2015. He is a member of the Eucalyptus Lions Club in Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo, and has held numerous positions within Lions Clubs In-ternational, including club secretary, club president, zone chairperson, region chairperson, district governor, MD403 Council and Convention Committee Chairperson, international relations committee Chairperson, and regional membership coordinator.

He also held the position of Vice President of the Lions of Africa Steering Committee and Chairman of the All Africa Lions Conference from 2014 to 2018. Furthermore, he was a member of the Centennial Action Committee for the African continent until 2017.

Alexis Vincent Gomès served for two years (2017 to 2018) at LCIF Board of Directors and was member of the Foundation’s Marketing Committee.

He also undertook several assignments as a Speaker at the International Headquarters.
A dedicated philanthropist, Alexis Vincent Gomès is a “Humanitarian Partner” and a “Visionary Lead Donor” of Lions International. He is the largest donor in Africa (SightFirst Campaign, 100 Campaign). He is also a “Major benefactor” of the Kitwe Eye Hospital in Zambia and Yalgado Ouédraogo University Hospital in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. His
humanitarian efforts extend beyond the African continent to India, where he donated a medical ambulance to Mumbai.

In recognition of his service to the Lions International association, he has received numerous honors, including the distinction of Ambassador of Goodwill, several medals awarded by different International Presidents and several certificates of appreciation.

Alexis Vincent Gomès is Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow (PMJF), Ambassador of the Lions International Second Century, Commander of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Congo, a Commander of the Order of Mono of the Togolese Republic, an Officer of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, and a Medal of Honor recipient from the city of Alès, France.
In addition to his activities within Lions International, Alexis Vincent Gomès is involved in several professional and community organizations.

Married to Eliane, a fellow humanitarian, Alexis Vincent Gomès is an accomplished family man.
